Create and review certified email records

The quick answer

Certified Email can record message content and recipient hashes with the tracked delivery activity. Its certificate documents evidence recorded by Elite; it is not a government timestamp or an assurance that a person read the message.

Send and review a certified email

  1. Start a certified message

Open the extension's Certified email shortcut and choose Compose certified email. Enter the recipients and message in the supported inbox.

  2. Review the recipient notice

Certified mode registers the message before sending and adds a green recipient notice. Review the notice and the recipient list before using your inbox's Send button.

  3. Find the delivery certificate

After the send is confirmed, find the certificate in the confirmation email or the message's activity report. It preserves cryptographic hashes of the content and recipient manifest with the recorded delivery activity.

  4. Keep the evidence in context

Check each activity classification and the certificate's scope. Preserve the original certificate when you need to share the record.
