Step-by-step guides and clear answers for the details that matter.
- Set up a branded tracking domain
Eligible plans can use a verified tracking subdomain. Publish the exact CNAME and TXT records shown in Tracking settings, then verify the DNS and encrypted route before using it.
2 min read - Use a professional custom-domain email address
Elite verifies sender aliases and branded tracking domains. Buy and provision a mailbox with your domain/email provider; Elite does not sell domains or automatically create a professional mailbox.
2 min read - Add a custom-domain sender to Gmail
Configure and verify the address with Gmail's Send mail as flow where supported, then verify the sender alias in Elite. Provider authorization and sending-domain authentication still need to permit that identity.
2 min read - Track a scheduled email
Prepare tracking before scheduling through a supported flow, then verify the scheduled item's sender, time zone, and provider result. A message composed in an unsupported client may not include a tracker.
2 min read - Electronic signatures and legal enforceability
Elite provides signature requests and a tamper-evident history. Enforceability depends on the jurisdiction, transaction, intent, identity, and consent; the product does not guarantee that every document is legally binding.
2 min read - Request a signature on a PDF
Use Signature requests to upload a PDF and select its signer model. Choose one shared document for all signatures or separate signed copies when multiple people need individual outputs.
2 min read - Understand the e-signature audit trail
The audit history records changes to a signing request and supports the completed document's evidence. Preserve the final PDF and history together under your organization's retention policy.
2 min read - Understand document analytics
Document analytics measures activity in the controlled viewer, including supported page-level evidence. A raw attachment downloaded into another application does not provide the same observable viewer activity.
2 min read - Share a PDF with access controls
Issue a document link with the expiry, download, view, and watermark controls available to your plan. These controls govern the Elite endpoint and cannot revoke a copy someone already downloaded.
2 min read - Insert a document for signing into an email
Create the signing request with the right document and recipient context, then use the request's issued signing link or the supported compose signature action. Review recipients before sending.
2 min read - Read PDF page analytics
Open the document's analytics detail to inspect recorded viewing and page activity. Keep unknown viewer identity and proxy information separate from verified recipient evidence.
2 min read - Create your first email campaign
Campaigns sends separate personalized messages through a connected Gmail or Outlook identity. Review the sender, audience, suppression, message, and follow-up behavior before launch.
2 min read - Read a campaign report
Open a campaign for individual recipient sends, replies, status, and sequence progress. Completed-send progress is different from successful delivery or human engagement.
2 min read - Mail merge with Google Sheets
Import a spreadsheet with a header row and an email column through the supported read-only Sheets flow. Match the imported fields to your variables and preview missing-data cases before launch.
2 min read - Mail merge from a contact list
Choose an existing list as the campaign audience and use the contact fields in your message. The final recipient review still excludes suppressed or otherwise ineligible contacts.
2 min read - Add fallback text to merge fields
Use supported fallback syntax such as {{first_name|there}}. A fallback prevents an empty field from leaving a broken greeting; preview complete and incomplete records to check the finished text.
2 min read - Send a campaign in batches
Individual sends are processed as provider-backed work. Review progress and errors for the existing campaign instead of duplicating it; batching does not create an exemption from provider quotas.
2 min read - Understand campaign unsubscribes and bounces
An unsubscribe is a preference change; a bounce is a delivery outcome. Keep permanent failures and opted-out contacts excluded, and read temporary failures from their provider error.
2 min read - Unsubscribe links in campaigns
Commercial outreach needs an appropriate opt-out path, accurate sender identity, and a postal address. Use the campaign's supported unsubscribe behavior and verify it in the final review.
2 min read - Connect Elite with Zapier
Use Zapier's supported integration with a scoped Elite API token. Configure the exact event or action you need and test both the Elite signal and the destination result.
2 min read - Zapier: notify on the first PDF view
Choose the first-document-view trigger for a new qualifying document-view event. It does not measure the same thing as an email open, and forwarded public links can have unknown viewer identity.
2 min read - Zapier: notify on the first link click
Choose the first-click trigger and check the classified click evidence. Your automation should handle retries without duplicating notifications or treating a gateway scanner as a person.
2 min read - Split a group message into individual emails
Use an individualized campaign when each person should receive a separate message and recipient-scoped tracking. A normal multi-recipient message shares one body and has group attribution.
2 min read - Create and review certified email records
Certified Email can record message content and recipient hashes with the tracked delivery activity. Its certificate documents evidence recorded by Elite; it is not a government timestamp or an assurance that a person read the message.
2 min read - Monitor replies and stop follow-ups
Connect the sending Gmail or Outlook mailbox so Elite can detect replies. Campaign follow-ups stop after a detected reply or opt-out, while a conversation reminder remains a distinct workflow.
2 min read - Track link clicks in an email
Enable Link tracking before sending a rich-text message. Review the redirect request's classification so immediate security scanning is separated from likely-human clicks.
2 min read - Use the Latest activity dashboard
Latest activity is the chronological feed for email, link, document, and signature events. Search the right account/date scope and open the underlying evidence when you need more detail.
2 min read - Receive link-click alerts by email
Enable the Email channel for likely clicks in Notifications. Verify that the signal is a qualifying click before expecting the rule to fire.
2 min read - Connect Salesforce and other CRMs
Supported CRM connections can synchronize contacts and tracked activity according to their configuration. Review plan, administrator setup, mapping, backfill state, and connection status before expecting a result.
2 min read - Zapier: send an automated tracked email
A tracked-send action needs a connected Gmail or Outlook sender and an API token with the required sending scope. Test with a controlled recipient and protect against duplicate retries.
2 min read - Zapier: notify on the first open
The first-open trigger should represent qualifying engagement rather than a privacy preload. Check the event type and classification before connecting it to a customer-facing automation.
2 min read - Export tracking reports to CSV
Use the export available for the report, plan, and role after setting its date and account scope. Privacy protection and retention can make some network fields unavailable.
