Understand active-email and repeat-open indicators
The quick answer
Activity indicators summarize recorded engagement. Inspect the timeline to distinguish multiple human-classified events from proxy caching, prefetching, or automated requests.

In Latest activity, search for Atlas. Open Maya's message to inspect the individual report.
Check the recipient and timeline: one likely-human open, no clicks. You can download a certificate for this message.
Now open Elena's privacy-protected event. The privacy fetch stays separate from likely-human engagement.
Open Email tracking and change the report period to seven days. The report updates to the selected window.
Check an indicator against the evidence
Confirm the message is registered
Search for the message in Email tracking. A sent message with no tracker inserted cannot gain open tracking later.
Inspect its activity
Read the classification and timestamp in Latest activity. Privacy-only and automated evidence do not turn into a likely-human open.
Refresh the inbox
Reload the webmail tab after a connection, update, or layout change. Indicators can lag behind event ingestion or provider synchronization.
Compare the same scope
Use the same account and date range in the extension and dashboard. Include message subject and time if you report inconsistent status.
