Email tracker for Gmail with privacy-aware open and click signals
Track Gmail email opens and link clicks without leaving your inbox. Elite Email Tracker adds checkmarks, an activity feed, follow-up reminders, and signal classification that distinguishes likely-human activity from Gmail proxies and automated scanners.

Built for honest signals
No certainty theater
Signals inside Gmail
See tracking status beside sent messages and review open and click activity in the extension feed.
Automatic open and link tracking
Supported Gmail sends receive an opaque tracking image and registered links without moving your work into a separate email client.
Gmail proxy classification
Gmail image-proxy requests are labeled as privacy-protected instead of being presented as a precise recipient location or device.
Inbound tracker protection
Detect more than 40 known tracker signatures in messages you receive; Pro can block matching requests before they load.
How to track email in Gmail
- 01
Install and connect
Install the browser extension, create or sign in to your Elite Email Tracker account, and authorize the installation.
- 02
Refresh Gmail
Open or refresh Gmail after the extension loads. Compose and send from the Gmail web interface as usual.
- 03
Read the signal
One check confirms a tracked send. Two checks indicate qualifying engagement; open the feed for classification and event details.
What Gmail tracking can—and cannot—tell you
Gmail commonly serves external images through Google's proxy. A proxy fetch can confirm that the image URL was requested, but its IP address, location, browser, or device may describe Google's infrastructure rather than the recipient.
A pixel request is an engagement signal, not proof of human attention. Elite Email Tracker preserves likely-human, privacy-protected, scanner, sender/self, and unknown classifications so ambiguous activity does not masquerade as certainty.
Standard tracking does not upload message bodies. If you deliberately use Outreach, the service stores the templates, campaign content, and files needed to send it. Review the privacy policy for the exact fields processed.
Gmail email tracking FAQ
How do I track an email in Gmail?
Install and connect Elite Email Tracker, refresh the Gmail tab, then write and send normally. The extension registers the message, verifies the tracking marker before the send, and adds eligible links to the tracking timeline.
Does the Gmail email tracker work if the recipient uses Outlook or Apple Mail?
Yes. The sender uses Gmail, but the recipient can use another mail provider. An open signal depends on the recipient's client loading remote images, and a click signal depends on the tracked link being requested.
Why is a Gmail open marked privacy-protected?
Gmail can fetch external images through Google's image proxy. In that case, the request may show Google's network and hide the recipient's actual IP, location, browser, and device, so Elite Email Tracker labels the signal accordingly.
Which browsers support Gmail tracking?
Elite Email Tracker has release builds for Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox. Tracking runs in the desktop Gmail web interface where the extension is installed; it does not modify the Gmail mobile app.
