Polls

Build, publish, insert, edit, close, reopen, archive, and interpret embedded email polls.

Polls collect one clear decision through a focused recipient page. They can be shared by link or inserted into an email.

Create a poll

  1. Choose New poll.
  2. Write a question of up to 300 characters.
  3. Add at least two response options; each can be up to 200 characters.
  4. Drag options or use the arrow buttons to reorder them.
  5. Turn on Allow more than one answer for preference gathering rather than a single-choice decision.
  6. Turn Notify me for every response on or off based on expected volume.
  7. Review the recipient preview and publish.

Copy the public poll link or insert it from the compose tools. The recipient sees the poll task, not your dashboard editing controls.

Results

The poll detail shows status, response count, creation date, and per-option totals and percentages. If multiple answers are allowed, the sum of option selections can be greater than the number of respondents; read the count accordingly.

Edit and manage

You can edit title, question, notification behavior, and multiple-answer setting. Options lock after the first response so historical results do not change meaning. Close voting to stop new responses, reopen it when appropriate, or archive the poll to remove it from active work without immediately destroying history.

Deleting a poll permanently removes it and its responses. Use delete only when the data is no longer needed and retention/compliance policy permits it.

Limitations

  • Email clients do not consistently support interactive form controls inside messages, so voting occurs on the focused web page.
  • A public forwarded link can be used by someone other than the original recipient unless the workflow adds authentication.
  • Polls are not anonymous by default merely because the public page is simple; use them in line with your privacy notice.
  • Results show responses, not a statistically representative sample.
