Campaigns

Build individualized Gmail or Outlook sequences with personalization, eligible audiences, reply/opt-out stops, and review before launch.

A campaign sends individualized messages to a selected audience. It is the right tool when you need merge fields, recipient-level tracking, a follow-up sequence, suppression checks, or a deliberate review before launch.

Before you build

  • Connect the exact Gmail or Outlook mailbox you will use.
  • Verify any sender alias.
  • Prepare active contacts with reliable names and custom fields.
  • Exclude suppressed, unsubscribed, and hard-bounced contacts.
  • Run Deliverability preflight for the actual sender, audience size, and message.

Campaign sending currently uses connected Gmail or Outlook identities. Yahoo is supported for extension compose tracking, not as a direct campaign provider connection.

Step 1: Setup

Name the campaign, choose Gmail or Outlook, and confirm the sender address. For commercial mail, provide the business/sender name and postal address. If you have verified tracking domains, select one or use the default hostname.

The provider and exact sender must be connected before the campaign can proceed.

Step 2: Message

Write the subject and initial email. Personalization renders separately for every recipient. Use safe fallbacks such as {{first_name|there}} and {{company|your team}}.

Optionally add a follow-up for contacts who have not replied. Choose a wait of 1–365 days and decide whether that follow-up requires human approval.

Step 3: Recipients

Select eligible contacts. Only active, unsuppressed records can enroll. If the audience is empty, return to Contacts to add or reactivate appropriate people; do not reactivate unsubscribed contacts without a valid reason and permission.

Step 4: Review and launch

Confirm campaign name, sender, first subject, recipient count, sequence, and approval behavior. Every recipient receives a separate delivery rather than one group message. Follow-ups stop automatically after a detected reply or opt-out, and suppression is checked before launch/queued work.

Campaign overview

Open a campaign to see recipients, individual sends, replies, sequence progress, status, provider, sender, creation time, and description. Progress measures completed individual sends, not success or engagement quality.

When not to use a campaign

Use a normal tracked email for a one-off conversation. Use a template when you only need reusable content. Use a workflow reminder when you want to remember a follow-up but do not want an automated sequence. Campaigns should not be used to bypass consent, provider quotas, or suppression.
