Elite Email Tracker Docs
Getting started

Send your first tracked email

Track an email safely, verify the result, and understand the status you see.

Before you send

Use a supported webmail tab with the extension authorized. For a clean test, send to one separate recipient address you control. Use HTML/rich-text email; plain-text messages cannot contain a tracking image or rewritten HTML links.

Send the message

  1. Open a new compose window.
  2. Enter the recipient, subject, and body.
  3. Turn on Open tracking in the Elite compose controls.
  4. Turn on Link tracking if the body contains a web link you want measured.
  5. Send with the provider's normal Send button.

The extension registers the message, recipients, and delivery scope. A single-recipient delivery receives a recipient-bound token. A normal multi-recipient message receives group attribution.

Read the result

Open Dashboard → Latest activity or Email tracking. A new message may first show sent/confirmed status. When a signal arrives, its label explains the evidence:

  • Likely opened: evidence is consistent with a reader and no strong automated signature dominates.
  • Privacy-protected image fetch: a privacy proxy or preload requested the image; this is not counted as a likely-human open.
  • Security scan: automated infrastructure fetched content.
  • Sender/self activity: your own preview or sent-mail behavior was detected.
  • Unknown: there is not enough evidence to make a stronger claim.

A likely-human click may also imply that the email was opened even when its image was blocked. The product can synthesize an open for reporting from that click, but it retains the reason so it is not confused with a direct pixel fetch.

Test without misleading yourself

  • Do not repeatedly open the sent copy and expect recipient activity.
  • Test from a separate mailbox and, if possible, another browser profile or device.
  • Remember that Gmail and Apple may load images through privacy infrastructure.
  • A message to several people cannot identify which named recipient loaded one shared image.
  • A click proves a request to the tracked redirect, not necessarily human intent; scanners are classified separately.

Turn tracking off for one message

Use the compose control before sending. Settings keep indicators and classification available, but message-level tracking is controlled in the inbox. After sending, Workflows → Priority inbox → Stop tracking disables future tracking and cancels pending reminders for that message; it does not erase events already collected.
