Install and connect
Install the browser extension, authorize your account, and connect Gmail or Outlook for provider-backed features.
Install the extension
Open Download on the Elite website and choose the package for Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. Install it from the indicated browser store or approved package flow, then pin the extension so its status is visible.
The extension only activates its compose tools on supported webmail origins. If the icon is inactive on another site, that is expected.
Authorize the extension
- Sign in to Elite Email Tracker in the same browser profile.
- Open Gmail, Outlook on the web, or Yahoo Mail.
- Open the extension and choose Authorize if prompted.
- Approve the first-party authorization page.
- Refresh the webmail tab and open a new compose window.
Authorization binds that installation to your account. You can review or remove installations under Settings → Account → Connected devices.
Connect Gmail or Outlook
Go to Settings → Inbox and start the provider connection. Approve the provider's consent screen for the mailbox you intend to analyze or send from. Connected inboxes are shown by provider, email address, and status; disconnecting stops future provider-backed work but retains existing tracked activity.
Connect the exact sending identity required by a campaign. A Gmail connection does not authorize an unrelated Outlook address, and a connected primary address does not automatically verify every alias.
Yahoo Mail setup
Yahoo Mail is extension-based. Install and authorize the extension, then compose in Yahoo webmail. There is no direct Yahoo OAuth inbox connection in the dashboard, so features that depend on mailbox synchronization or provider-side campaign sending are not available through Yahoo in the same way as Gmail and Outlook.
Confirm the installation
In a new compose window, look for the Elite tracking controls. Send a test to a separate mailbox you control, load images in that recipient mailbox, and confirm the event appears in Latest activity. Testing from sender to the same sender may be classified as self activity and should not be used as proof of recipient tracking.
Remove or disconnect
- Remove the browser extension through your browser's extension manager.
- Revoke an installation from Connected devices when a browser or computer is lost or retired.
- Disconnect Google or Microsoft from Settings → Inbox to stop provider synchronization.
- Use account privacy controls for exports or permanent deletion; uninstalling the extension alone does not delete historical account data.
