Contacts, lists, and chained filters

Add, edit, filter, group, tag, suppress, export, and understand relationship records.

Contacts is your relationship workspace. Records can be created from email activity, added manually, pasted in bulk, imported, or created by outreach workflows. A contact record can hold name, email, phone, company, job title, notes, tags, custom fields, status, and engagement dates.

Add contacts

Choose Add contact to enter one person's details, or use the bulk import field for multiple email addresses. Campaign content import also accepts CSV/TSV where headers become merge fields such as email, first_name, company, and custom columns. Google Sheets import supports a header row with an email column and up to 5,000 rows in the selected range.

Invalid, empty, and duplicate rows can be skipped. Review the result before assuming every source row became an active recipient.

Search and status

The main search covers display name, email, company, job title, and tags. The status selector can show all, hot, active, suppressed, unsubscribed, or hard-bounced contacts. “Hot” is derived from qualifying recipient-scoped engagement; ambiguous group opens should not make every recipient hot.

Lists

A list is a saved membership group, such as Customers, Renewals, or Event attendees. It does not duplicate the underlying contact. Changes to a contact remain visible everywhere that contact belongs.

To create a list, select visible contacts or open Create list, name it, and choose members. Use the list selector to view one list. Lists are useful campaign audiences, while tags are lightweight labels that can span lists.

Chain filters

Choose Filter, select a field, operator, and value, then add it. Use the plus button on an active filter to append another. Filters are joined with AND, so a contact must match every active condition.

Available text fields include name, last name, email, email domain, phone, and tags. Operators include is, is not, starts with, ends with, contains, exact word, does not contain, is unknown, and has any value.

Date fields include last contacted, last heard from, last open, last click, last hot open, and last revival. Compare relative age in days or use after/on/before a date. Boolean filters cover hard bounce and unsubscribe state. Combine filters such as:

Email domain is example.com AND last contacted is more than 30 days ago AND unsubscribed is false.

Filters currently refine the live workspace view. A list persists membership; do not confuse an unsaved filter chain with a dynamic saved list.

Columns, sorting, and bulk actions

Use Columns to show contact, email domain, phone, company, engagement dates, tags, status, and interaction count. Your column selection is saved in that browser. Click a column header to toggle sort direction.

Select visible rows to add tags or create a new list from that selection. Export downloads the currently filtered contacts as CSV, not necessarily the entire account.

Suppression and reactivation

Suppressed, unsubscribed, or hard-bounced contacts should not be enrolled in campaigns. Suppression can cancel queued campaign steps. Reactivation should only be used when you have a legitimate reason and, for an unsubscribe, appropriate permission to resume contact. Compliance policy can impose stricter rules than contact status alone.
